I spent my New Year’s Eye in the Slovenian moutains, precisely in Mežakla where my boyfriend’s family has an amazing Chalet. Mežakla is a long undulating plateau over 1000m of height, in the foothills of the Julian Alps and is a part of Triglav National Park. It was a pleasant break being away from the urban lifestyle, in nature, with no internet connection and modern technology. We even had some snow! I spent the last hours of 2012 with delicious food, some bubbles, board games, laugh and an inaccurate countdown (which didn’t even matter). I really had a great time! Wishing you an amazing 2013!
