You read it right. I have an amazing eye brush set to share with you; it’s from a German brand named Zoeva, and it contains 12 amazing brushes – all the eye makeup brushes you’ll ever need for your personal use. Zoeva Rose Golden Collection 12-piece eye brush set contains the following brushes: 142 – 224 – 226 – 227 – 228 – 230 – 231 – 234 – 237 – 315 – 317 – 322 and a beautiful brush clutch. Rose-gold has always been close to my heart and it seems like Zoeva made this set especially for me. Purchasing this one for 65€, might sound like quite a lot of money, but as soon as you realize that’s 5,5€ per one amazing and really high-quality brush, you may call it a bargain. Scroll down (or click “read more”) to discover all about the brushes in this set. You can buy it HERE.

My Double Cleansing Routine

One of the Japanese beauty secrets, I swear to is the Double Cleansing method. It traditionally means washing your face with an oil-based cleanser first, before using a regular water-based cleanser. It literally means washing your face twice, which might sound a little too much, but I can promise you it’s worth spending the additional two minutes of your time. As they say “better safe than sorry” – you don’t want to go to bed with a face full of makeup and other impurities, since it has always been one of the worst things you could do to your complexion. I’ve been cleansing my face twice a day (no exceptions) – with one cleanser in the morning and a more thorough double cleanse method in the evening.

For the first step you can either go for a cleanser in oil form or choose a micellar water. Micellar water works on the same principle as cleansing oil; it might be more suitable for those with sensitive skin, while oil is way better for those who wear heavier makeup. I’ve been loving the Nivea 3in1 Micellar Cleansing Water with the caring formula with Dexpanthenol & Grape Seed Oil. It removes eyemakeup, without leaving the skin dry, tight or irritated. It’s free of parabens, colors and perfume. I usually pour some of it on two cotton pads and gently press them on my eyelids (wait for 5-10 seconds). I then swipe them all around my eyes and use an additional pad to remove my face makeup (or lip if I’m wearing some bold color). I also use a cotton bud or two to remove the left-over eye makeup, if necessary.

When I melt away the dirt and makeup from my face, I rinse and apply the second cleanser. Its job is to purify the skin and the Sensai Silky Purifying Milky Soap does it amazingly. It’s an emulsion-type facial wash with a soft, smooth foam that leaves a supple finish and it’s perfect for my dry skin. I use one pump and massage onto my skin in circular motion, which also stimulates circulation and relaxes tense facial muscles. After rinsing it with cool water, I gently pat dry with a clean facial towel. When my skin is thoroughly cleansed, I follow with a toner, serums and a cream.

Artistry Intensive Skincare Advanced Skin Refinisher

For those who don’t know, let me explain you – Artistry is a skincare and makeup brand you can get exclusively at Amway since 1950. As a prestige brand, its products are not the most affordable, however you can find some amazing ones that are really worth the splurge. I got the chance to test out their newest product Artistry Intensive Skincare Advanced Skin Refinisher. Keep on reading, if you want to know more.

What they say at Artistry?
Artistry Intensive Skincare Advanced Skin Refinisher is an intensive “Smart Pore Eraser” for instantly softer, more even-textured skin and a progressively more refined look and feel. It was formulated to reshape the appearance of pores and reinforce the skin’s natural renewal process, leaving it – both instantly and over time – velvety smooth and refined. The benefits are comparable to a professional fractional laser treatment, only in the comfort of your own home. It is allergy and dermatologist tested; suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It is advised to use in the morning after your skin cleansing and toning (apply 2 pumps to the skin, avoiding the eyes area).

What do I say?
Firstly, I would like to point out its packaging – it’s sleek, elegant and practical, and I love it. I’ve been using it as a primer before applying my moisturizer and foundation and it has proved to smooth and improve pore appearance (not that I have many or big ones, but I can totally spot the difference when I’m using it). My skin feels and looks smoother and quite velvety. It doesn’t have an oily finish, it’s rather shine-free, so it makes it perfect for those with combination or oily skin (or just those who like more of a velvety matte finish). Of course you can make your skin look a bit more luminous with the right foundation, moisturizer or any other product. I noticed that my foundation lasts longer when I use this product, I might be wrong, but I truly think it contributes. I read somewhere that the bottle should last approximately 6 weeks (assuming you use 2 pumps a day), however I am not able to tell where this holds or not, since you can’t really see how much product is left. I haven’t been using it every single day, and some days only one pump seems enough and after 4 weeks there’s still some product left in there (based on the weight). To sum up – it’s a nice product for those who are looking for a miracle product to minimize the appearance of pores and it works lovely as a pre-foundation base.

»…such as the LBD and the place in town known for making their guests feel good.«

A wardrobe essential introduced by Coco Chanel in the 1920s, the little black dress can go a long way. It was made popular by Audrey Hepburn in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and since then it has been an absolute »must have« in every woman’s closet. I love the fact that it can move you seamlessly from the office to a party with just the addition or removal of the right accessories. My newest addition is the bit oversized Esprit dress with zippered pockets, which has been a real »life savior« for many close dilemmas.
