Eclat Minute Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector (aka one-of-a-few-lipglosses-i-like) just got its rival! Clarins came out with an amazing new makeup line, and two products really stood out for me. The first one is the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil, which nourishes and enhances lip’s natural beauty; the other is the Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfector. This heavenly looking melting gel lip balm won me over in a minute! It glides over my lips effortlessly, has a deliciously sweet smell (and taste), while my lips instantly look plumper, smoother and more luscious. Clarins offers 6 shades at this point, my pick was the lightest one (shade 03 My Pink; a personalised pink that reacts to your lips ph levels) and I find it perfect for all those busy days when I don’t have time to worry about my lipstick getting smudged. It enhances and lightens my natural lip colour, and most importantly – moisturises my lips! I’m obsessed!

The other product that I’ve been loving lately is the Shiseido Veiled Rouge lipstick in Carrera BE301. The Veiled Rouges are obviously not a new product from Shiseido, however this time they added 4 new shades and a new ingredient called the Veiling Pearl which offers the incomparable delicate shine by reflecting light in multiple directions to prevent dullness. I am usually more of a fan of non-shimmery finish, however I’ve fallen in love with this new nude shade right away. It doesn’t dry out my lips and gives a subtle wash of colour and shine. Another go-to product I’ve been carrying around in my handbag religiously!

Suki is a brand that I’ve heard about before, and never tried it. I must admit, I didn’t really get the hype about all-natural skincare (except the brand Heaven by Deborah Mitchell, but that’s a whole another story), but then the opportunity came up and I ended up changing my whole daily skincare regime by starting using Suki’s products. This 100% natural skincare convinced me with four products – a toner, day cream, facial oil and an eye repair balm.

Suki Concentrated Strengthening Toner is suitable for combo to dry skin, it feels and smells fresh and fruity, plus it’s full of antioxidants and vitamins (you can already guess that only by smelling it). I love the fact that you can use it without a cotton ball, I just spray it all over my face – it spreads out really well.

I follow with a pump of the Suki Nourishing Day Cream and mix it with two drops of Suki Nourishing Facial Oil (I am all about the oils in skincare as you might know). That is how my skin gets a full dosage of vitamins and antioxidants. Both products are suitable for combination to dry skin, having a normal to dry skin type the pack of these four products works wonders. They moisturize and nourish my skin, leaving it with a healthy glow.

Speaking of four products – the fourth and my absolute favorite is the Suki Ultra-Protect Eye Balm – Night (formerly known as Eye Repair Balm). You only get 15ml of the product in a jar, but still lasts long! I’ve been using it morning and evening by warming my fingers a little and gently applying it on the eye area. The consistency is very rich, that’s why it is a perfect night eye treatment (could be too much as the daily one, especially if you don’t have dry skin). It is (supposedly) great for broken and damaged skin, even eczema. Although is it quite pricey, it’s definitely worth the splurge.

Overall, Suki products have a lovely minimalistic design and high quality natural ingredients. A new brand I discovered in 2014 worth every penny/cent. I am addicted!

As always with a change of season, there comes a switch of product line-ups. Say hello to hydrators if you want to keep your skin from flaking and itching. I’ve always been a huge facial-skin-care-geek, never went to bed without doing the whole facial routine. But, when it comes to taking care of my body, I fail. This year, I made a bit of a deal with myself – to moisturize everyday before I wrap myself into my soft Cheek by Lisca robe. And you know what, I’ve stuck to it quite well (mostly due to some amazing products)!

Every night I (obviously) shower or take a bath and I’ve been loving the Afrodita Hyaluron shower gel. It does such a great job, cleansing and moisturizing combined! It contains 100% natural hyaluronic acid, which generously moisturizes my skin and helps prevent it drying out. After that, I slather myself in a body moisturiser. A complementary Afrodita Hyaluron moisturising body lotion is one of my all-time favourites since it really works down to deeper skin layers and has a non-greasy and fast absorbing formula (that I always look for in body moisturisers).

While Afrodita is a Slovenian brand known for its high quality and affordable prices, and I’ve always supported amazing domestic companies. But when it comes to shaving creams, I haven’t found anything as good as Eos Ultra Moisturising shave cream in Lavender Jasmine. Although it doesn’t foam, it makes shaving so easy while providing my skin with soothing moisture every time I use it. You may know Eos as “the brand” for lipbalms, but guys, I can’t tell you how good this stuff is – I don’t even need to use a moisturiser after!

My lips are ridiculously dry in winter, so I should finish off this post with a good word on another Eos product – the Eos Visibly Soft lipbalm in Coconut Milk, which smells good enough to eat. I find this one even better than the classic (not that they are not good, they are great!), it’s super moisturising and nourishing. As you may notice, every product in this post is geared with hydration in mind from the shower gel to the lipbalm, which makes them perfect for winter time.

First of all, a little disclaimer. For me the end of 2014 was really adventurous (I decided to join my boyfriend at his training camp in Gran Canaria which was a last minute decision), a bit hectic (with all the Christmas and New Year’s Eve jazz) and that’s why I didn’t find any time to post. I believe that everyone needs a break once in a while in their life, and so do I. I had the most amazing time on the island that lives up to its cliché as a continent in miniature (Dunes of Maspalomas, all the breathtaking views while travelling across the island, the intact mainland, oh boy I wish I was there again). I hope you all had an amazing year, enjoyed my blog and hopefully are looking forward to exploring new fashion and beauty stuff in 2015 with me. Dear readers, I wish you all the best in 2015!

New Year brought New Brushes. Zoeva extended their makeup brush range with 8 new brushes and the official launch was on January 5th. You might know me as a huge fan of Zoeva, their precisely made brushes can easily be compared to the ones from brand like Mac in my opinion – amazing value for money. Not to mention, they are ridiculously soft! Here are 8 quick reviews to help you decide whether you need these 8 new brushes on your makeup table:

Zoeva 107 Powder Polish (16,80€) is a large super soft brush with dome shaped dense taklon hair. It’s perfect for applying all loose and pressed face products, I found it best to work with pressed finish powders or bronzers and it’s the biggest brush from Zoeva that I own.

Zoeva 109 Face Paint Vegan (12,80€) is perfect for all liquid and cream contour products due to it’s unique flat and square design. A brush that will change your contour routine and make it much easier – as it did with mine. It also reminded me I need to find some new cream contour products. Any suggestions?

Zoeva 112 Face Curve (12,80€) is a foundation brush with pointed yet curved shape and soft vegan taklon hair. It is so easy to cover every area of my face with this one, however I am still not sure whether it beats the 102 Silk Finish. It doesn’t. At least not for me.

Zoeva 114 Luxe Face Focus (12,80€) is a flat, flame shaped brush perfection. I use it to apply my highlighter, it’s super handy and amazingly soft (natural-synthetic hair mix). Not only that it is perfect for highlighter, it also works great for selective touch ups and setting makeup with powder under the eye area.

Zoeva 129 Luxe Fan (10,80€), a brush I’ve fallen in love with! This multifunctional tool is perfect for highlighter, blush or bronzer as well as it’s ideal to brush away eyeshadow fall out. The one you should have in your collection, for sure!

Zoeva 220 Luxe Grand Shader (8,80€) is ideal for applying all powder eyeshadow products in one stroke. They call it »the most luxurious shader brush« and at first glance it seemed way to big. After my first application of a base eyeshadow, I knew this one will get a lot of love from me. Easy, quick and fluffy – the Zoeva 220!

Zoeva 310 Spot Liner (6,80€) might be the smallest brush you have ever seen. It’s super tiny yet effective and designed to visually thicken your lash line with eyeliner or eyeshadow. I am not absolutely sure whether you really need this one, however it does make the job easy.

Zoeva 325 Luxe Brow Light (7,80€) is made of finest natural-syntheic hair and it’s a brush dedicated especially for under-brow area. Contouring and accentuating my brows has never been so easy, it allows me to spread the powder eyeshadow/highlight evenly and precisely (although it’s quite large). When you think you’ve seen it all, Zoeva strikes again – with some new innovative product.
