When it comes to nail polishes, pastel shades are the ones I tend to most (opaque or clear ones). This Models Own HyperGel pastel mix of purple and pink named Paradise Pink is definitely one of my favourite spring shades. I just got it recently and I already know I’ll be wearing it a lot. Firstly because of it’s super shiny gel finish, no UV light needed. Secondly, the shade is most definitely perfect for spring (and summer) and looks amazing on pale or tanned skin, plus you can wear it with almost any outfit. Check this one out, if you like shades like Essie Fiji or To Buy Or Not To Buy; it is a pastel cool-toned pink with a hit of purple and it’s one of 10 new shades in the HyperGel range. To achieve full opaqueness you need to apply 2-3 coats (I applied 2, ‘cause I am way too lazy to wait for the third layer to dry). It retails for about 6€ on Click2Chic (click), ModelsOwn, Asos, Beautybay, Boots…

A liaison between two amazing Italian brands, Collistar and an icon of Italian-made design – Kartell, has brought out an amazing result, a beauty limited edition collection named Transparency. Kartell is credited for the wonderful transparent packaging (you can totally recognize their style and concept), while Collistar came up with some quite bold colour combinations.

Slovenian Collistar team welcomed us at a lovely home design salon Décor Design in Ljubljana, where we had a chance to see all the products from this Spring/Summer 2015 collection (their makeup artist even created a daring makeup look) and admire some of the Kartell’s masterpieces. I came home with 3 new products:

Collistar Sexy Look Sensual Oil Face & Body Illuminator (approx. 22€/30ml) is a true beauty, isn’t it? The whole packaging and two phase colour combination is super pretty. The upper orange phase is oily and has an amazing sweet and flowery scent, while the bottom pink layer contains precious golden particles. All you need to do is shake it to mix the two phases. Is it just me or does shaking a product bring up the Taylor Swift »Baby, I’m just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake…« song, every single time? Back to the product – although the ingredients are super rich and moisturizing and it does contain oil, this one feels super light and silky on the skin. The scent is divine, the highlights and delicate sequin effect are just perfect to enhance your tan (I am super pale at the moment and I am saving this one for warmer days, when I catch some tan). You can use it on your face, décolleté, arms and legs to create seductive highlights while nourishing your skin.

The other two products I got in my goodie bag are Collistar Gloss Nail Lacquer Gel Effect (approx. 7€/6ml) in Arancio Mobil 544 and Rosa Victoria 515 with dual three-dimensional plumping and gel-like finish. The consistency is quite fluid and smooth, the brush is well designed (short rounded shape), making it very easy to apply. You only need one thick layer for full coverage (or two thin ones, which is my preference) which lasts for about 3-4 days on my nails (with base coat, and no top coat). They both suit darker skin tones in my opinion, especially the Rosa Victoria shade. They will be perfect for the upcoming warmer months.

Ever since rose gold became “a thing”, I’ve been slightly obsessing over it. It’s literally everywhere (at least in fashion and beauty), and there’s always room for some more in my opinion. For all those makeup geeks out there, there’s probably no need for presenting the German brand Zoeva, for all those who are not familiar with it, I can just say that you’re missing a lot (especially if you’re into makeup). They make the best luxurious makeup brushes for a reasonable price and a whole bunch of other amazing makeup products as well.

Today (February 23rd, 2015), is launch date for some amazing new Zoeva products: the Zoe Bangle (the first Zoeva’s jewelry item which looks divine), two brush sets in a new colour combination, a new makeup palette plus an amazing acrylic brush holder. I already have set of eye brushes from the “original” Rose Golden Collection (read here), but the latest just blew me away! My new Rose Golden Vol.2 Luxury Set is a stunner, for sure.

The colour combination of cream and rose gold in the Zoeva Rose Golden Vol.2 Collection is beyond stunning, I love the engraved Zoeva logo on the metal part of the brush handle, it makes it look even more luxurious. The quality is (as mentioned in my previous posts about Zoeva) amazing, the bristles are incredibly soft, easy to use and well made. You get the following 8 brushes and a stunning Large Rose Golden Brush Clutch in a set for 65€:

Zoeva 104 Buffer Face Brush
Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint
Zoeva 126 Luxe Cheek Finish
Zoeva 225 Smudger
Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease
Zoeva 234 Luxe Smoky Shader
Zoeva 317 Wing Liner
Zoeva 322 Brow Line

The Rose Golden Vol. 2 Complete Eye Set (which I already have in the original Rose Golden colour combo) contains 12 brushes (for the same price), made particularly for the eye area. Speaking of eyes, today is also the launch date for the brand new Zoeva Rose Golden eyeshadow palette. It contains 10 eyeshadows featuring an array of stunning metallic, matte and satin shades all in “easy-to-wear” colours. They are super pigmented, easy to apply and blend, the colour range makes them perfect for the upcoming spring and summer days (and nights). It quickly became one of my most used eyeshadow palettes and it won’t go off of my makeup menu any time soon. Zoeva has also included a matching rose gold patterned brush holder, which can be bought individually or together with the brush set. It’s highly practical, visually attractive and it is a great match for the brushes.

Zoeva “dreams in powder nude and rose gold”, and I most definitely do too (at least when it comes to makeup brushes). These products are not only amazing quality; they look beyond stunning and luxurious.

I’ve been searching for »the pair« of over-the-knee boots for quite some time and I finally found them. They are a good option for a comfy yet chic look and being flat means I can wear them all day long. Although they don’t have a high heel, I can easily look sophisticated wearing them and they are for sure the perfect winter footwear given their versatility. This time I decided to keep the outfit casual by combining them with skinny jeans, warm turtleneck sweater, jacket and a black hat that I’ve been loving this winter. They’ve been on trend for quite some time now and they are here to stay. Invest in a great high quality pair, they are a purchase you won’t regret!

My normal to dry skin type is constantly keeping me on a hunt for new products that will provide my skin all the moisture and nourishment it needs. Every winter, there comes a time, when my skin is dehydrated and in order for it not to look as a cracked dried out lake bottom, a proper skin care is a must! The following products have been more than helpful in the last few weeks and I wanted to share them with you, if you fight the same fight as I do:

Vichy Thermal Spa Water is a soothing and fortifying mineral-rich water in a spray mist that provides an immediate refreshing effect on skin. It boosts skin comfort and it works perfectly as a “base” before applying oil, serum or moisturizer. You may also use it along with your gel eyeliner in a pot or for wet eyeshadow application, as a gentle makeup setting spray or just as a refreshment during the day. It has been “a must” in my routine for a few years now.

Heaven by Deborah Mitchell Heavenly Eyes Regenerating Complex is an amazing eye product I discovered this winter. Hands down, this is one of the best eye creams I’ve ever tried, especially if your eye area is rather dry. It contains some super amazing nourishing ingredients such as vitamin A, oxygen and moisture reservoir. This little can last for quite some time, keep that in mind when checking its price.

A high quality hydration mask is essential these days! Clarins Hydra Quench cream mask is an oasis of comfort for dry, devitalized skin (as they say at Clarins). You leave this one on your skin for 5-10 minutes, meanwhile a Katafray draws moisture to the skin and a Sorbier Budy helps stimulate micro-circulation for a healthy-looking glow. My skin feels fresh, radiant and well moistured after use.

For my hands, I’ve been switching the products constantly and the one that really made a huge difference to my dry and itchy skin is Nivea SOS Hand Balm Repair & Care. It soothes and protects dry and chapped hands with its concentrated formula with Dexpanthenol and Hydra IQ. I am clapping with my well-moisturized hands for this one!

Labello Lip Butter Original has been nourishing my lips with a moisturizing formula that contains Shea Butter and Almond Oil, leaving them ultra soft. This one has been one of the many lip treatments I’ve been (ab)using this winter and I can really give it a thumbs up for amazing formula, scent and effects.
