There’s always room for another eyeshadow palette, right? Especially for a super fancy one with shiny silver packaging covered in Parisian garden in the Spring and a magnificent range of matte and iridescent pinks and a trio of intense blue-greens. Lancome My French Palette it’s a bold one for sure (compared to my daily go-to: UD Naked Basics2), however still neutral enough to wear on a daily basis, as well as suitable for evening looks. It looks sophisticated and elegant and the packaging is just everything! You open it up, you got a decent sized mirror in there and six lovely rose-beige-pink eyeshadows. On the right side it has a »secret« compartment with a trio of a bit bolder shades. My mind was blown away in a second.

The Lancome French Innocence collection offers some other amazing new products, however the palette is a winner for sure. Two limited edition products that have also found their way into my makeup vanity are two Vernis in Love nailpolishes559M Gris Rivoli and 383M Vert Tuileries. To awaken my inner Parisienne I’ve been painting my nails in an elegant taupe grey, tribute to the resolutely urban Paris of Rue de Rivoli (Gris Rivoli) and a tangy contemporary version of the green colour of the Jardin des Tuileries benches (Vert Tuileries). It might sound ridiculous, but makeup can take you places with a little bit of imagination. I am dreaming of Paris with this amazing Lacome’s collection.

I am not a big fan of crazy-full-face-kim-kardashian contouring. I do find it quite interesting and it can definitely transform your face completely, but in my opinion, it’s way too much for my everyday makeup looks. I need to admit, I do contour regularly, however I do it on a quite subtle level using only two products – a NYX Powder Blush in Taupe and a Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint brush, plus occasionally a highlighter (it depends of the look I am aiming for).

You can buy Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint brush (12,80€) individually or as well as in some of their sets. It is a contour brush with a unique flat shape, that allows professional sculpting, shading and contouring. Contouring my face with powder products has never been so easy (Zoeva makes a brush for cream products as well – check 109v Face Paint Vegan if you are more to liquid or cream products)! I usually only go for some cheek contour, I rarely do “full face”. I lightly swirl my Zoeva brush in to NYX Powder Blush in Taupe (7,80€) and place it at the center of my ear, guide towards the tip of my nose and stop somewhere in the middle of my face. I’ve been on a hunt for a perfect cool-toned contouring powder/bronzer for quite some time and when I read all about the NYX Taupe, I just needed to have it. It has a soft buttery texture, the finish is matte, which makes it perfect for contouring. It is easy to blend, plus it’s quite pigmented. The shade is perfect for fair to medium complexion and it won’t make you look tanned (you will need an additional bronzer for that in a bit warmer shade). To sum it up: subtle contouring can be easy and daily appropriate. All you need are the right products, fish-mouth-face and a few seconds.

L’Oréal Paris asked a few Slovenian beauty bloggers to create a look with L’Oreal Paris False Lash Wings Intenza mascara, which is actually a revamped version of their cult best selling mascara ever. I said yes, mainly because I haven’t done anything like this before, plus there’s no harm in trying out a new promising mascara. To see my look and vote for me, click HERE and like my photos (there’s a small competition going on their facebook page). This mascara takes the concept of the original version and changes up the brush shape. It now has a double wing brush that distributes the product evenly. It gives amazing volume and an extreme fanned out effect with a unique formula using intense neo-matte pigments; gives my lashes noticeable length, volume and curl, it doesn’t smudge or flake and it comes off easily. I’d say it’s a perfect one to choose for the everyday look, while you can also create a really intense extra voluminous effect as well. I decided to go for a more natural #IntenzaLook, the one I tend to use on everyday basis, mainly because I get a lot of questions about it and because I like it simple and natural, most of the time.

Afrodita is definitely one of my favourite Slovenian brands that delivers amazing affordable skincare products with carefully selected ingredients. They truly are doing a great job and they even made even a big step forward regarding the looks and packaging of their products in the past few years. This Afrodita Lovely Roses Gift Set has stolen my heart with it’s cute packaging of two heavenly smelling products – a cream shower gel and a nurturing body milk. The combo makes my skin moisturized, silky smooth and slathered in sensual aroma of roses. There’s nothing better than a subtle scent of roses on a sunny morning (or night).
