I swear it feels like yesterday when we celebrated New Year’s Eve and walked into the 2015. Well, Easter is right around the corner and it’s surreal how fast time flies at least for me. Although we never fully celebrated this holiday at home (besides painting the eggs of course) and I never get the whole Easter festive vibe. Anyway, I decided to put up a more of an »eastery« themed post for a change featuring these four lovely Eos Sphere organic lip balms.

The first thing I must point out is that not all of Eos lip balms are the same. Not only that their scent is completely different, there are some mayor differences in the texture as well as function. I did a post about these lovely egg shaped lip treatments a while ago (you can check it out my clicking here) and now I wanted to show you my updated collection. After my first trio (Blueberry Acai, Pomegranate Raspberry and Sweet Mint) I upgraded my collection with the Lemon Drop with SPF15 in the summer (featured in this post). Later the Coconut Milk made its way into my stash and quickly became one of my favourites. It has a super sweet and delicious flavour, it glides more effortlessly then the previous ones I tried, it feels more emollient and more hydrating. A week ago, some mayor upgrade was in order! I decided to go for another Blueberry Acai, which was the only one I’ve already used up and additional two (for me) new flavours. Medicated Tangerine smells like orange flavoured Cedevita (which is a local instant drink) and it quickly overshadowed all of the eggs I’ve previously tried. The scent is not my favourite (it may even be my least favourite), while the efficiency rocks! Besides all the amazing beneficent extracts and oils it is the only one that contains phenol 0,5%, which is an external analgesic and helps relieve symptoms of cold sores and chapped lips (similar to Carmex, yes). I used it (besides many other lip treatments) after my last skiing trip when my lips were severely dehydrated and irritated and it really worked wonders! Really lovely stuff… Last but not least, my newest Eos member numero duo is the Honeysuckle Honeydew, flavoured with sweet melon. My second favourite! To be completely honest, Eos lip balms got me hyped mainly because their unusual appearance and lovely flavours, they didn’t replaced my well used and well loved Carmex. These two (Medicated Tangerine and Honeysuckle Honeydew) have been battling along quite well! I’ve been loving both and switching them constantly, keeping one on my nightstand and one in my purse, while the others scattered all around our flat. I wish they all had an SPF, that would truly be a blast. Happy Easter, folks!

Idealia has been one of the most popular Vichy‘s ranges since it came out. This suite of radiant moisturizers that visibly smooth the appearance of first signs of aging and make my skin radiant and healthy, has been one of my favourite ranges of all time, not only from Vichy’s, but in general. I was lucky enough to get the chance to test out all of the products in the range (except the Idealia Pro which targets dark spots, that I luckily don’t have), everything from the smoothing and illuminating daily cream, to BB cream, an eye cream and last but not least Idealia Life Serum. As a loyal Vichy user and their brand ambassador, I was thrilled when they offered me to pre-premierly test out and review their newest »member of the Idealia family«, a restorative night cream Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep.

A product like this was really missing in the Idealia range, at least for me. If I wanted something richer for my nightly skincare, the classic Idealia cream just wasn’t enough. I needed to add an additional oil or a »non-idealia« night cream. You can imagine how excited I was when they first reached to me and revealed me their newest product. Upon first sight, the Skin Sleep nourishing balm looks amazing. It comes in a 50ml darker-pink-toned jar with a mirror cover; luxurious and chic! I would much rather prefer a non-jar packaging due to hygienic reasons, but hey, you can’t have everything. What’s most important is inside! Vichy promises to rebuilt and restored skin in the morning, even if you don’t have a “normal” sleep; your skin will look fresh, it will regain it lost firmness and luster. I’ve been noticing a visible difference since I started using it and it is completely enough for my normal to dry skin type. However, I like to add a drop of serum or oil every now and then to additionally pamper my skin after some extremely intense days. Ingredient wise, it is not a powerful anti-aging cream, therefore it is suitable for women aged from 25-40 with all skin types (I wouldn’t recommend it to those with acne or extremely oily skin tough). It contains a beneficial combination of ingredients, everything from apricot oil, vitamin B3, LHA (for targeted exfoliation), caffeine and adenosine, hyaluronic acid and glycyrrhizic. The texture is just prefect! It’s a mix of nourishing balmy texture and a lightweight gel-ly one. While the scent is just divine! It has the typical “Idealia” scent, which is mainly floral but quite hard to describe (there’s supposed to be some notes green tea and jasmine in there), it’s not aggressive, which I actually prefer. To sum up, it is a lovely moisturizer for non-problematic skin and it will probably be completely enough to take care of your skin while you sleep.

A little disclaimer: despite all the amazing stuff Vichy does for me, I can assure you, my reviews of their products have always been completely honest and true. I’d never expect a sample to review that I wouldn’t believe it could work for me, that’s why you can mainly read good reviews of good products (however, I always mention the downsides as well as you might notice). I am always giving you my honest opinion, regardless of the source. At this point, I would also like to thank you all for following my blog ramblings and trusting my words. Thank you all!

Breakfast has never been my favourite meal of the day. They say you should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper, for me it has been the other way around. I literally need to force myself into eating at least something relatively healthy in the morning (on the other hand, I am always up for some chocolate and I used to consider it as a breakfast in the past). Bad habits die hard…

Nevertheless, I’ve been loving a bowl of homemade plain yoghurt enriched with berries and cereals, especially before visiting the gym or a running session. Since most pre-made cereals on the market are high in sugar content (I’d rather go for a chocolate then), I usually go for classic oatmeal, rye or spelt flakes, some chopped almonds, goji berries and occasionally some chia seeds. A while ago a new Slovenian brand named zMüesli contacted me and asked whether I’d like to try out some of their products. They offer »homemade« mixtures of cereals. Some are pre-mixed but others you can choose your own mix (online) as well. Their offer wide range of ingredients, their shipping is super fast and the prices are reasonable. I find the whole idea and concept interesting and it’s definitely something worth checking out. Hopefully you can find an online store with a similar concept in your country as well; on the other hand, you can also prepare a mixture of your choice in your own kitchen, you just need to use your imagination(or some googling it up)…

The story behind the Le Couvent Des Minimes brand is just amazing. It’s named after a convent located in Mane, the south of France, where the tradition of mixing natural skincare recipes began in 1862. To perpetuate the long tradition of simplicity, care and generosity the brand was created in 2004 and it’s part of L’Occitane group. I first discovered it a month ago and I had the chance to test out three products of their latest Eau Des Matines collection.

Their new Eau Des Matines collection has an extremely refreshing and vibrant scent, which makes products perfect for the upcoming spring days. Out of 5 products, I’ve been offered to review 3 of them. The first one, probably »the central one«, is a botanical cologne of the morning (the morning probably translates as Matines) (28,50€ for 100ml). It is a uni-sex citrusy-herbal blend of refreshing orange and lemon with tonifying basil and cedar. While this is a cologne, I wasn’t expecting any extreme longevity (though it lasts around 3-4 hours on my skin). The sillage is not that strong, which I actually prefer (I was a bit scared it would be stronger, since colognes tend to have it stronger). The second product is the awakening morning dew (9,90€ for 200ml), which comes in a similar scent. It’s super fresh and invigorating, it’s perfect for morning showers, since it will wake you up instantly. Last, but not least – the morning hand cream (6,10€ for 25ml) in a complementary scent. A combo of citrusy and herbal extracts, Shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax makes it moisturizing, nourishing, yet light. The packaging is quite small, which makes it perfect for carrying in your handbag. Overall, Eau Des Matines scent will not be everyone’s cup of tea, however you may love it if you prefer products scented with fresh combo of citruses and herbals to wake you up in the morning or keep you going during the day.

La Roche Posay is definitely one of my favourite French brands (besides my first love – Vichy, of course). I’ve been loving their amazing products with carefully selected ingredients suitable for even the most sensitive skin (I am using the Hydraphase Intense Riche at the moment). To prove that La Roche Posay is much more than just a brand that takes care of our skin, they decided to put out a »You share, we care.« initiative. By sharing your selfie with your favourite LPR product on their website, they will commit to donate one product to children who are not able to afford one. It is a nice gesture, for sure! I am not sure whether this action goes on in all of the countries offering LRP, make sure you check the official website (and post your selfie) or share your selfie on Instagram with #yousharewecare.
