Argan oil is a non-fragrant plant oil harvested and cold pressed from the kernels of argan trees, which are extremely capable of adapting to severe environmental conditions. It contains several beneficial fatty acids and lipids, it’s a source of vitamins and antioxidants. This multi-tasking miracle deserved the nickname »liquid gold« due to it’s amazing powers and rarity. It’s »the« ingredient to consider if your skin or hair is dry, however it’s powerful enough to soothe the symptoms of many skin ailments like acne or eczema. I’ve used it on my hair, face, body and nails, as an ingredient or 100% form; it quickly became one of my beauty staples.

Afrodita, one of my favourite domestic brands came out with a few products containing argan oil and I instantly knew I was going to love them! My skin confirmed it after a few pampering evenings, starting with the Mystic Argan oil shower gel (2,10€ for 250ml), later applying the complementary Mystic Argan nourishing body milk (3,30€ for 250ml) and »locking« in the moisture with 100% SPA massage oil organic argan (4,80€ for 150ml) (which works amazing as massage oil, as the name suggests). I’m enjoying my body care ritual, which leaves my skin feeling velvety soft and nourished. The only thing missing for the ultimate pamper is the one hour full body massage… Preferably each evening.

Hopefully you have a slew of awesome travel plans on the horizon. I most definitely do. Accordingly, before I pack my bikini, I am going to share with you some tips and tricks I’ve picked up in my travel history. When it comes to clothing on long-hour flights, I am one of those who consider comfort way before looking super trendy. However, I’ve learned that traveling in style is not only possible but can be super comfy. Of course, the airport look can depend on how long your flight is, but the following tips are rather universal in my opinion and you might find them handy:

1.Always carry a pair of dark glasses in my carry-on.
2.Wear leggings, the thicker ones or stylish tracky/yoga bottoms.
3.Pair them with a longer t-shirt or tunic that covers your butt (leggings are not trousers for god’s sake)
4.The right outerwear can finish of any outfit, you CAN look stylish.
5.Wear sneakers and compression socks. Every. Single. Time. (I advise you check out THESE)
6.Forget about jewellery, wear only a wrist watch.
7.Pick a scarf that you can double up as a blanket or pillow
8.Preferable colour schemes: black, grey, brown or dark blue.
9.Pack some back-up clothes in your carry-on.
10.Choose a trendy suitcase (THESE are stunning!).

Last week was extremely busy, at least for me. One of the highlights of the week was definitely my participation at the E! Entertainment Press Conference at the Hotel Cubo in Ljubljana. My job was to explore the influence of reality shows on the fashion industry, focusing on the TV shows House of DVF, Fashion Bloggers and Keeping up with the Kardashians. They are all coming back with a new season this Fall, in case you didn’t know. The »fashion bloggers« theme was definitely the closest to my heart, I could literally talk for hours about this topic. Anyway, the event was lovely, we were are satisfied with the final turnout, had a nice talk while eating delicious food prepared by Hotel Cubo and took (a lot!) photos in front of the photowall. It was a great experience, thank you all for contributing to it!

A main tip I’d give to anyone asking about high school or collage appropriate outfits is to keep it simple. Find basic pieces you can match together, invest in a few timeless ones, you will be able to wear all year round. The first thing you should consider buying are skinny jeans. They fit most body types and are extremely easy to combine – you can either dress it down with a basic T-shirt or go for a preppy white button-down shirt to ooze the scholastic chic. When it comes to handbags, I’d highly suggest you go for a simple, high-quality one (make sure it’s big enough so you can carry all the stuff you need). Viva’s Project tote is a fashionable piece worth investing in and it will be my main companion this year for sure. I’ve rounded up my tips in an outfit you can see on the photos, I hope you like it!

Finding a great lipgloss is like winning the lottery, in my opinion. I hate the sticky formula, demand moisture and prefer at least some pigment. And you know what, that’s where the newest Bourjois Sweet Kiss Gloss came in place.

Bourjois Sweet Kiss Gloss (11,25€) combines all the elements of shine, moisture, pigment and great wear into their formula. It’s enriched with vegetable oils, one of them being the Crambe abyssinica from Ethiopia. It feels soft, smooth and hydrating on my lips, without being too sticky or tacky. The finish has a high shine, while the level of pigmentation is rather good as well (still easy to apply without any mirror, it has a brush-like applicator, which is quite precise). Bourjois claims to provide a 10 hour hydration – well, I am not sure about that, however I can agree, they are nourishing and hydrating enough for my often-dry-lips to wear on a daily basis. This neither too sheer not opaque product needs to be reapplied frequently, I mean “it’s a gloss, for heaven’s sake, what else did you expect?”. The released 6 shades in the range are: 01 Sand-Sation (peachy beige), 02 Rose Qui Peut (light frosty pink), 03 As De Pink (reddish pink), 04 Incogni-Rose (nude-mauve pink), 05 Orange Pressee (bright coraly-orange) and 06 Carton Rouge (bright strawberry red). I passed on the 01 and 04; the 03 was my sister’s choice, while the other three are traveling with me in my handbags lately (also featured in my outfit posts here and here). My sister and I, we both agree they feel luxurious and are worth checking out; out of 6 shades to pick from I am sure you will find the one that suits you best.
