A few years ago when the bomber jacket made a splash in the fashion world, I was not sure the trend would stick. After seeing the now coveted piece in so many different editions from the sporty ones (taking us back to high school sports teams), to the silky ones (that made me fall in love with Chinese flower prints), we can safely say: bomber jackets are here to stay.

As we are currently experiencing one of the mildest winters in Ljubljana I can remember, my blogger friend Eva and I got a chance to take our new jacket around town. It is a warmer style so it would make for a great transitional piece, from winter to spring. I can see myself layering this beautiful quilted bomber jacket under a loose fitted coat if the temperatures suddenly drop.

Now let’s talk about the colour! For me, this olive green shade has always been one of the most versatile colours to wear. It goes with pretty much everything, so I would often treat it as a base colour, as much as I would black and white. You must agree, falling in love with this beautiful olive green bomber jacket was just a matter of time.

I hope you enjoy our photos together as much as I do. It is super fun to shoot with a friend, so we should really make a habit out of it. Agree?

Giordani Gold

These days shopping for makeup in a drugstore can be quite the jungle. The selection of affordable makeup products has become bigger, the amount of good and high quality products has increased. I can honestly say, you truly can find a whole face of amazing products in the drugstore, but for that special something, a more luxurious feel, you might still need to take a look at the high-end counter. Well, maybe not necessarily…

Giordani Gold is a luxurious range from a rather affordable brand, Oriflame. The products in the range are truly elegant, sophisticated, they give you that luxurious feel, but on the other side still stay affordable. The first Giordani Gold product I’ve came across, was the Giordani Gold Eau de Parfum, which still is my favourite affordable perfume (probably the only one I truly love wearing, especially with the complementary Giordani Gold Deodorising Body Spray). It’s younger sister, Miss Giordani is lovely as well, a bit more playful and youthful. When it comes to makeup, Giordani Gold doesn’t disappoint as either. Their Invisible Touch Foundation (in Light Ivory, my summer shade) is a winner – it’s ultra light, natural, moisturizing and slightly dewy, perfect for anyone with normal to dry skin type. Giordani Gold Bronzing Pearls (in Natural Bronze) are super pigmented, they give you that sun-kissed look with a hint of glow. These are no longer in my possession; were seized by my mom saying “I need these, you already own to many bronzers.” While taking them, she grabbed a Giordani Gold Incredible Length Mascara as well. She needed a new one, and I (winning the kindest daughter ever award) let her have it. She aims for lengthening mascaras that give a lot of definition, separation and no clumps; the GG has obviously passed the test in the mascara category. Two of the products I am not willing to hand over to anyone are the Giordani Gold lipsticks. Speaking of luxurious packaging, Giordani Gold Jewel Lipstick is probably unbeatable. It’s exquisite golden designer-looking case is a true jewel in my handbag, while the shade Dusky Nude is appropriate for everyday use, looking natural. Giordani Gold totally rocks with it’s rich and creamy textures, not only at Jewel range, but also at the Iconic. Giordani Gold Iconic Lipstick in Creamy Nude is probably one of my favourite drugstore lipsticks of all times (that’s a big statement, I know). It contains SPF 15 and has a creamy, luxurious satin-finish. Feeling nourishing, it still has a lovely pigmentation and (expected) average, but solid staying power. The shade is rosy-nude perfection.

Valentine's Gift ideas

With Valentine’s day fast approaching, I thought it would be the right time to share with you some gift ideas for your beloved. Let’s face it, flowers and chocolates are expected and so cliché. Of course Valentine’s Day gifts can be different, even touchy, depending on the type of relationship you’re in, but there’s a good chance you may overthink the whole thing (however, I wouldn’t necessarily say keep it “too easy either”, every woman loves at least a small treat once in a while). I’ve rounded up a mix of gift ideas, that might come in handy, if you’re looking for something different than just a stuffed animal or a box of chocolates (or rather something additional besides – no one rejects a good chocolatey heaven). As always, feel free to impart your own ideas, but here’s a list you might find handy, if you lack your own:

Curoprox 5460 Ultra Soft Valentine Edition
Alessandro All About Love Nail Butter
Planters Mascara N&Y
Avon makeup products
Afrodita Bouquet of Flowers shower gel and body milk
Huawei P8
