Trench coat is a piece, which in my eyes deserves a spot in each and every wardrobe. It is considered as an ultimate classic, something that will never go out of style. It’s a trendy option today, tomorrow, it will be in 15 years and was 5 years ago. This beige trench coat from today’s outfit post got a lot of attention from you on my Instagram @ajdasitar. I found it at S.Oliver and it is for sure a trench coat I’ve been looking for – classic, well-tailored, quality made with nice buttons (these are today a true rarity). It was my fellow travel companion on my Italy trip (these photos were created in the charming little town of Alberobello) and I can say that it is one of my most worn upper pieces in my spring wardrobe.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro review

After half a year of using Huawei Mate 10 Pro, I am totally convinced. Switching from the Huawei P10 to Huawei Mate 10 Pro was at first a large change – first of all, Huawei Mate 10 Pro is way bigger, but now I cannot imagine using a smaller smartphone any more. Mate 10 pro became my fellow trusty companion traveling the world. Why? Here are the main reasons why:

Huawei Mate 10 Pro has amazing battery life!

This is probably the main selling point everyone is so surprised about! It actually has amazing battery, which means you are not scared to stay in the middle of nowhere without a power source, even while using navigation, calling or texting and even with heavy social media use (#instagramaddicthere) and taking lots of photos. And even when the battery is low, Huawei SuperCharge adapter does its work amazingly – it charges full in approx. one hour.

Due to its large edge-to-edge display it really takes use of its size.

Due to its large edge-to-edge 18:9 display (with minimal benzels) it already works as a small laptop. But an additional impressive feature is, that you can hook it up to any monitor with a type-C to HDMI cable. It basically turns into a desktop PC.

Huawei Mate 10 pro has a dual SIM.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro is one of the few smartphones on the market that actually has a dual SIM, which basically means you can still leave your SIM card in there, add a foreign one and use your phone freely (you can even give restrictions, which SIM card to use while calling or using mobile data – without any worries of a large phone bill at the end of the month). For me, dual SIM was extremely handy while discovering Thailand.

Amazing camera quality!

I was already impressed by the Huawei P10’s camera quality, while Mate 10 Pro’s is even better. It is a true intelligent device, recognizing different scenes and adjusting the settings accordingly (such as landscape, food, dogs, cats, people…). Leica Summilux-H f/1.6 aperture lens works great even in lower light conditions.

Language barrier? Not a problem.

Communicating in a foreign country, where they don’t speak any of the languages you speak/understand, is actually quite easy with the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Microsoft Translator app optimized specifically for Huawei makes it easier to write, speak and overall communicate in a foreign language (way better than other options).

Our Amalfi Coast trip started in the charming little town of Vico Equense, located 25km north of Sorrento and 40km south of Naples. It turned out to be a great starting point to discover this lively Amalfi area, our stay at Palazzo Murrano was such a relaxing experience. I am sure you already got a glimpse at this place via my Instagram @ajdasitar, but today, I am sharing more about it in a detailed blog post.

Palazzo Murrano is located right next to the unspoilt Vico Equense village

Palazzo Murrano is a great option for those, who want to escape from all the hustle and bustle of Naples or the highly popular Amalfi area, but still want to stay close to all the attractions (such as Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius), popular cities and stunning islands. Even though this part of Italy is best discovered by car (Palazzo Murrano is located on the right side of the winding road right next to the sea from Naples down to Sorrento), you also have great connections to travel around by bus, train and ferry (docked right in front of Palazzo Murrano’s private pier. Palazzo Murrano offers true comfort and Italian hospitality in a 19th century historical building located just a few meters away from the sea and practically in the main square of the village of Marina di Aequa. Behind the name of the hotel there’s an interesting story, it got its name after the valiant Capitan Murrano, who lost his life during the Punic Wars between Rome and Carthage.

Having breakfast overlooking Mount Vesuvius

All rooms in Palazzo Murrano are bright and spacious, offering comfort and luxury. We stayed at their Suite Capri, allocated on the top floor with a tastefully furnished living room, spacious marble bathroom and bedroom – all with access to the amazing 30m² large sea view terrace. That’s also where we had our delicious breakfast, overlooking the magnificent Mount Vesuvius. Overall, on the top floor there’s also an indoor and outdoor breakfast area, where you can enjoy the sweet and salty food (I recommend you try the eggs, which are actually made by the owner). Palazzo Murrano combines comfortable and luxurious facilities and doesn’t forget about the tradicional, unbeatable Italian hospitality.

Restaurant recommendation: Torre Ferano

The Cantina Osteria Torre Ferano was recommended by the hotel manager Alfonso and our dinner there was a true gourmet experience. They say you have to taste Italy properly through food and Torre Ferano is for sure a place where all your taste buds will be utterly pampered. Torre Ferano restaurant is a completely renovated place with an amazing winery, respecting the original architecture and (during the day) offering a stunning view (it is located on top of the hill). Charming, cozy and warm atmosphere, delicious Italian food with typical local products (read: a lot of cheese, good meat, vegetables, accompanied by a great wine selection)… Food heaven!
