Portopiccolo is a little village in the Gulf of Trieste, Sistiana bay to be exact. Located 100km from our capital Ljubljana, Slovenia, it is an ideal location for a day trip. Sometimes labelled as the “Little Monaco”, it offers different (private residences and 5*hotels) facilities in a marina village, which was still a quarry a few years back. Now there are luxurious sailing boats docked, multiple stores and boutiques, cafes and restaurants. And of course the beach! We decided to head to Portopiccolo early in the morning and take some photos at their Beach Club.

They say “dolce far niente”. This is how it’s done in Italy.

Regarding my look, white has always been one of my favourite colours and I’ve been wearing it non-stop this summer. It goes well with practically anything, especially with beige, dirty pink and brown. I added some colour to my all white look with a wooden handbag and brown Ecco sandals, which are comfortable and chic, really amazing quality (you can walk in them for hours!). They can be combined in multiple different ways, from a more simple, almost sporty-elegant to boho combinations. A simple duo-chromatic look, perfect for summer days, was my choice for discovering Portopiccolo.

Today’s outfit blog post is way different from my usual outfit posts – I’ve got company! And not just any company. I finally managed to convince Jan to join me and this is the final result. We managed to catch the last minutes before the storm and shoot neutral-matching outfits from Tom Tailor in a wheat field near my home town, Domžale. What do you think, should he join me more often?

Rovinj is definitely one of the most picturesque Croatian towns. Charming cobbled streets, colourful houses, cute boutiques, lovely bars and restaurants with Mediterranean cuisine and only a 2 hour drive away from our capital, Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is the town I keep coming back to and the town that already got a special place here on my blog last year. If you missed my blog post titled What to do in Rovinj, Croatia, make sure you check it out. I am sure this Istrian town will convince you to visit it at least for a day! Speaking of my last day trip to Rovinj, I enjoyed it so much. I had a stroll around the old city centre, enjoyed some spaghetti with seafood in a local restaurant, ice-cream (of course) and of course warm the Croatian sun.

White  is one of the best colour option for summer and definitely my favourite. Not only that you fit any background amazingly when taking photos, you for sure also stand out from the crowds (even though white isn’t one of the most vibrant colours out there). I’ve been on the hunt for a perfect pair of white jeans for ages. White jeans are one of those pieces that you really need to have in your closet in my opinion. They are perfect for summer nights and days when it’s not boiling hot outside. They can easily be matched with anything, but as you can tell, all white outfits are my fav. I shot this one in a small and charming Istrian town called Rovinj.

Huawei P20 Pro

I’ve been a huge Huawei fan for years now, and this month I finally got the newest Huawei P20 Pro in my hands! I first got to know Huawei with their P8 smartphone, which was followed by P9, P10 and my first Mate series – Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Now I am back on the P line, with their newest Huawei P20 Pro. It has been my fellow companion for the past 3 weeks and I must admit I am already in love (as much you can be in love with a device). It is the world’s first Leica Triple Camera phone (equipped with a 1/1.7 inch type sensor, which is the biggest sensor among all smartphone cameras), pushing the boundaries of creative mobile photography – the photos I took with it are beyond amazing! I am always fascinated how new smartphones can be better and smarter every year – does it also seem to you, when you get a brand new phone in your hands, that it cannot get any better? Well, I guess upgrades are something, we got used to, but overall I think Huawei really outdid it with the newest Huawei P20 Pro. Not only am I impressed by the photo quality (which is getting very close to professional cameras), it is also quick, smart and has an extremely durable battery. Since I’ve been only using it for few weeks, you can for sure expect more updates on my social media (especially Instagram @ajdasitar) and blog!
