What makes brows so interesting is that they are unique for every person – different shapes, shades, sizes. No eyebrows are identical, not even your (my) own. You have probably heard this a million times before, but beautifully shaped eyebrows really do frame your face. Thicker, bolder ones are the trend at the moment, which is actually great for me, since mine are naturally quite thick and therefore I have less work to do, but they are still far from perfect. While we can’t all have Cara Delevingne’s (or Kim Kardashian’s if you prefer) perfect bold eyebrows, we can still try to make the best out of what we’ve got by choosing the right products and learning a few tips (I do recommend you to check some Youtube tutorials about “how to shape eyebrows” or visit a professional a few times per year). There is a fine line between defining your eyebrows and drawing them on (and sadly I notice a lot of girls doing the latter), my advice would be to keep it natural and simple. Finding the holy grale of products might be tricky, since there are tons of eyebrow products on the market at the moment, so I decided to share mine with you.

EYEBROW SHAPING
High quality tweezers are an absolute must and a primary tool when it comes to eyebrows. I’ve been using La Tweez Pro Illuminating Tweezers which include an ultra bright LED light to illuminate your eyebrows and making those hairs that are harder to reach more visible. I just cannot imagine my eyebrow plucking routine without them any more! Another product you should add to your eyebrow kit are scissors. Simply brush your hair up using a small comb and trimm the hair above the shape.

EYEBROW FILLING
When shopping for eyebrow products, you can go either for a pencil, powder-wax duo, or brow gels… My latest discovery is Lilylolo Eyebrow Duo in Light, which is a duo of pressed powder (to fill in gaps and define brows in natural shades) and a natural wax for precision grooming (to hold brows in place). I use Couleur Caramel angled brush n°10 to apply it. The thing I love about this brush is the fact that it can be used on so many different ways – not only to apply eyebrow powder, but also for applying lipstick and eyeliner. I’ve been using it for eyebrow shaping for a while now. It’s made out of synthetic fibers and it can also be used for wet application. For a bit more intense look, you just dip the end of the brush into water before application. A secret to achieving great brows is also to highlight the brow bone right under it simply by using a light corrector.

Many of us are affected by dry, dehydrated skin or dry patches. Those conditions may be particularly noticeable during winter, some of us call it an everyday challenge. First, let’s sort something out. Dry skin and dehydrated skin aren’t the same thing. Dry skin is a skin type, whereas dehydrated skin is a skin condition (and skin can be dry and dehydrated at the same time). Dry skin feels taut and uncomfortable after washing, therefore it must be moisturised. It tends to have a fine texture, which can be a plus or minus (plus: if it’s well cared for; minus: it is prone to premature fine lines). Generally, dehydrated skin is easier to correct than dry skin. Keeping skin soft and supple is way easier with the right products. Some of them can fix both – dry and dehydrated skin.

Ren Skincare is definitely a brand worth checking if you have any sort of skin issues. They have an amazing range for blemish prone or sensitive skin. I came across two of their products, both suitable for dry skin (my skin type is normal to dry). A combination of Ren Rose O¹² Moisture Defence Oil and Ren Ultra Moisture Day Cream has been truly amazing for me. Ultra Moisture Day Cream was specifically formulated with a moisture replenishing complex to leave dry skin soothed, comfortable, optimally hydrated and looking beautifully healthy. It also protects against free radicals to combat signs of premature ageing. An ultra-moisturising oil Rose O¹² Moisture Defence Oil is a miracle worker for dry and dehydrated skin. It is formulated to give skin a powerful shield to lock in moisture and restore glowing softness, comfort and radiance. I just mix a drop of this delightfully smelling thing into a face cream in morning and sometimes in the evening as well. It makes my skin soft, radiant and glowy. I read some reviews about people with normal to combination skin using these two products and they found them amazing as well (I even bumped onto some with oily skin type using this oil and loving it). Once a week I treat myself to Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Treatment Mask with clary sage. These one promises similar to the previous two products – it is scientifically proven to intensely hydrate skin and also helps increase skin’s ability to retain moisture. Your skin will possess softness and suppleness like never before. Hands down to this product! I am totally addicted (plus it smells divine and is 99% naturel). Once a week comes time for Vichy Purete Thermale Softening Exfoliating Cream as well. It contains antioxidant Vitamin E and perfectly rounded jojoba pearls to cleanse pores deep down and gently refine skin’s texture without drying out the skin. It comes in a rich, creamy texture, keeping my skin deeply cleansed but gently exfoliated. This has been one of my all time favorites from Vichy. When it comes to body skin care, I still swear by Mama Mio OMega Super-Rich Body Cream (the brand just got a make over separating Mama Mio pregnancy skincare and Mio high intensity bodycare and changing the appearance of their products). I wrote a full review a while ago, you can check it here. Last buy not least, a multipurpose product for face, body and hair – Payot Elixir oil with extracts of myrrh and amyris. This precious oil in an elegant spray bottle repairs, nourishes, softness and beautifies the body, face and hair, while ensuring long-lasting protection against drying and dehydration. Extracts of myrrh and amyris stimulate the reconstruction of the epidermis, a blend of plant oils reinforces the skin against daily aggressions and boosts its resistance to stress, essential oil of osmanthus relaxes the features and uncreases the skin’s ability to recover. A miracle oil with heavenly scent! Not only that all of these products succeeded in the mission to impress me, they all have an additional thing in common – their scent is to die for!

Being one crazy lipbalm lady, I have been dying to try the Eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm ever since it burst onto the scene. It quickly became one of my most used lip products and it can be easily added to my top Everday Lip Products list (check it out here). Eos stands for “evolution of smooth” and they have a small range of skincare products ranging from lip balms, hand and body lotions to shaving creams all looking extremely cute and quite different.

Eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm
is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps your lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth. The choice of a flavour was quite hard for me (and I’m guessing I am not the only one with this problem), at the end I decided to go for Blueberry Acai, Pomegranate Raspberry and Sweet Mint. The problem is that I still cannot decide which one out of these three is my favourite. Sweet Mint has a refreshing essence, minty flovour that feels a bit tingly on the lips. Blueberry Acai is somewhere in between sweet and fresh, seriously making me want to eat it, as well as the fruity Pomegranate Raspberry. This almost egg shaped balm (quite oddly shaped, yes) with a twist-off top is actually really easy to apply (not harder than the regular tube lipbalms) and has a perfect balance of flavour and moisture. The texture is quite solid, not greasy, it won’t melt during summer days. It cannot be compared to Carmex, which is my go to product for extremely dry and chapped lips, but still does its job maintaining long-lasting moisture. Plus it smells amazing. Gluten-free, paraben-free, petrolatum-free, phthalate-free.

Eos Hand Lotion is a delightfully nourishing hand lotion. A combination of velvety softness and refreshing, light fragrance, eos hand lotion is packed with nourishing shea butter, aloe, oats and antioxidants to keep your hands beautiful, soft and smooth. I got mine in Berry Blossom, which has a really lovely scent. It’s fast absorbing and non-greasy, dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic, paraben-free and gluten-free. 96% natural formula in a sleek package is perfect to put in your purse or just keep it somewhere where everyone can see it (since it looks so chic). You can officially call me one crazy eos lady! I am hooked!

Temperatures are rising, it’s time to change our wardrobe, pick some light makeup products and since “you are never fully dressed without perfume” you should put your warm musky scents away and update your summer fragrance. I decided to pick a fragrance perfect for her and one for him that will instantly evoke summer and sandy beaches.

Ladies first! Roberto Cavalli Exotica is probably THE perfume of Summer 2014. At least for me. It promises an escape to exotic destinations with selected ingredients – fruity mango (top note), frangipani flowers (middle note) and creamy sandalwood (base note). I can totally feel the summer breeze on my skin, somewhere on an exotic island sipping a delicious cocktail. When it comes to fragrances, you should probably sniff it first before buying, but – have you seen this bottle?! Gorgeous hot pink with contrasting black and white tiger print motive, details in gold, Robeto Cavalli logo cap! Irresistible. If you are looking for something tropical, white floral, fruity, woody and sweet, Exotica is the one to choose and it will be a perfect match for your masculine half wearing Calvin Klein Eternity for Men Summer limited edition for 2014. It conjures up the romantic echo and smell of sea waves, making his skin smell masculine and sexy (I should probably stop right now, since my mind slipped away). It opens with fragrant notes of juniper berries, pear, basil and watermelon to a heart reflecting cardamom, lavender and thyme, while the base notes are amber, sandalwood and musk. Since Summer calls for lighter, fresher fragrances that incorporate fruity or aquatic notes these two are a perfect choice for summer adventures… In two or looking for a perfect match.

Comfy shoes which have become synonymous with hippies, grunge dressers, tree huggers and German housewives, have risen this year to the top of the style ladder thanks to Celine and fashion icons who incorporated them in their outfits. You either love them or hate them. You can probably guess that I’m in the first category and the silver Madrid ones are my second pair. They are highly comfortable, practical and quite easy to style. A perfect choice for summer walks.
