If you follow my Instagram profile @ajdasitar, you probably noticed that I got two John Frieda Full Repair line products to test a few weeks ago. It says: “revives overstyled hair – for damage from heat and colour” and that sounds like the perfect line of hair products, a lot of us are craving for.
What they say at John Frieda?
Full Repair hair care is a transformative line of salon-inspired products with Inca Inchi Oil (rich in omega-3) that weightlessly repairs brittle, damaged hair with every use. Full Body Shampoo reverses the look and feel of damaged hair with every use as it weightlessly restores bounce for full, flowing styles. It detangles strands, reducing the risk of braking and snagging when combing or brushing. It is safe for color and chemically-treated hair. The other product I got is the Deep Conditioner that aims to restore and strengthen hair. It actually is a mask that penetrates deep and makes hair become silky and full.
What do I say?
Not only was I super excited to try these two products, but a lot of my friends were waiting for a review. Why? Because it promises much and the price is reasonable. I must say these are the kind of products that really work. The packaging is really nice – I especially like the shampoo’s one which comes in a plastic tube; the Deep Condioner (I’m not sure whether I should call it mask or a conditioner, it’s somewhere in between) one is a bit less practical – it comes in a screw top tub. However, the products work together perfectly – I actually don’t need to add any additional product (like some sort of oil or spray; but I mainly use it anyway). You actually don’t use much, because the shampoo is quite foamable and the conditioner is easy to apply evenly. The smell is nothing special, at least to me. My hair is silky, healthy and soft – pretty amazing. I don’t have super damaged hair (mainly because I have an amazing hairdresser), but I can totally see the difference – especially at the ends which are usually dry. My hair is a bit dry, long, coloured and occasionally exposed to heat and other unwanted factors that damage it (I work as a model from time to time). In my opinion this is not a product for greasy hair, but for those who want to prevent damage from ironing, blowdrying, colouring etc. (super damaged hair has only one option – cutting).
